TELL IT YOUR WAY
An Introduction to spoken-word storytelling
Traditional stories have been told in every culture since the dawn of humanity. Now a new generation of tellers is breathing fresh life into the stories for modern adult audiences.
In this fun, interactive session, Jamie Crawford will let you into a few of the storyteller’s secrets and encourage you to have a go.
He will start by telling a few stories interspersed with discussion of what makes a good story. You will then be given a short traditional story to work on with a partner, supported by Jamie. After practicing until confident, you will then have the chance to tell and listen to at least one other person in a ‘story swap’. We will come back together to reflect… and maybe enjoy one final story.
For ages sixteen upwards.
