To hear some disembodied voice
Offering ambiguous platitudes.
At least I’m not in a Care Home
Chivvied along by Nurse Bountiful.
I’ve worked hard all my life
Only want what I’m due
Shocked by the state of the National Health
Punished for my lack of wealth.
There’s no justice in this world
It’s every man for himself.
Can’t even end it all
The pills are on too high a shelf!
