Standing on the deck a company
resplendent in naval livery salute
little ships and dinghies re-enacting
their loyalty willing to respond
for king and country bringing home
heroes to live and fight again
the company of greed and twisted
lies go hand in hand
denying honesty, corrupted
by power
The company we once shared
decimated again, living under showers
of a poisoned reign of some despot
destroying lives and land.
