It’s been there for a year at least
it’s grown so very large
it could be home to a beast
At the end of the road there’s a pot hole
quite deep it now appears
It’s been filled with earth and a sapling
that’s watered by motorists tears
at the end of the road there’s no pot hole
but a new bend in the road takes shape
men came to mend the pot hole
couldn’t find it and stood mouth agape
At the other end of the road is a pot-hole
It might be there for a year at least
or filled with earth and a sapling
or signposted Route to Atlantis
