Well, here we are in mid-March (nearly), and the promise of Spring is very much in the air. Verges and hedgerows abound with snowdrops, daffodils, violets, and primroses.
Creativity is in the air too, and Rich and I are delighted to reflect on the success of LitFest19, our yearly Seafordian celebration of all things literary and musical. A good time was had by all, and we are busy plotting next year’s even bigger and better offering!
Yesterday (9 March) Rich conducted a poetry workshop at the Hillcrest Centre, Newhaven. It was an exciting foray into the creative process, and some excellent work was done by all. Many thanks to everyone who attended. Watch this space for more workshops and open mic events throughout the year!
Don’t forget Mr John’s Poetry Café group, which meets at 8pm at the Vinyl Frontier, Eastbourne, on the second Wednesday of each month (next meeting 13 March), for a stimulating and friendly open mic session. Also a reminder about the Library poetry group which meets in Seaford Library at 2pm every other Tuesday (next meeting 12 March). These are both free events and all poets are welcome!
